Published Works
I produced this front cover for a local magazine in Winchester.
Working in Photoshop I wanted to produce subtle colours that would represent a summery scene in the city.
The magazine is a free publication available throughout the year in the city.
I decided to use the Hanover Community Centre as a subject to illustrate this piece. It is a focal point in the area and an important landmark.
The Hanover Directory is available locally in the Hanover area of Brighton.
My commission was to produce an illustration for this local publication. I thought that I would show the famous Hove lagoon as a prominent land mark. Running is a popular pastime down there, so I thought I would combine the two.
The West Hove Directory is a local magazine found in most outlets in the vicinity.
For this cover of Fiveways magazine, I chose to show Blakers Park as a local landmark. As a keen tennis player myself, I thought I would use tennis as a theme and wanted to blend in a blue tone with the title of the magazine.
The Fiveways Directory is a free local magazine.
I made 12 illustrations for this children’s book ‘Stanley The Snake’ by Alan Inksep based on an unhappy snake! Had great fun creating the other characters in the story that consisted of a Monkey and a stoat.
A children’s story ‘Double Screen Dean’ by the same writer about a young boy whose obsessed with gadgets, constantly watching TV and playing computer games.
I wanted to show a young geeky lad, with a distinctive look with glasses the same shape as his gadgets!
An illustration for a publication ‘On Route’, available on the local buses.
One of the routes was Steyning, so I wanted to include the castle ruins and the bus just edging into view.
Available on all the local buses.
I created a front cover for this book ‘The Boy Who Caught The Dragon’ for the Welsh author Tony Jones.
I liked the idea of running the image from the back to the front as you get more of a continuous feel.
The book is available on Amazon.
I have produced a series of covers for Tahnee Campbell who has written two Victorian detective novels as well as several short stories. I wanted to create a distinctive style, for her books that are very readable.
Books are available on Amazon.
I received this commission all the way from Africa!
It just goes to show what that you can work with people from all over the world with the internet.
Available on Amazon.
I decided to use watercolour for this children’s book commission. I was approached by someone who was a follower of Islam who had produced a series of religious stories for young people. The way the images were used on the cover is quite interesting!
Available on Amazon.
I was commissioned over a long period of time to produce line drawings of buildings and monuments for the Blue Guide travel series. This is the oldest travel guide series in the country so was quite a prestigious opportunity.
I produced about 15 guides over 7 year period.
Still available on the internet.
An example of some of the merchandise I sell through Star Editions.
